Local Butcher upgrades its delivery fleet with New Vauxhall Combo
The background Butcher's Hook is a family run business, offering high quality, locally sourced meats. Managing Director Terry Adams has been in the butchery industry since the age of 14 and has always dreamed of owning his own butchers. In 2014 Butchers Hook of Heathfield was established, providing some of the best meat around to small and large customers. Along with their excellent levels of customer service.
Butcher's Hook has grown rapidly over the years starting from just one local shop. Terry invested in a second shop and now offers local deliveries. Following the launch of their new website, he wanted a new delivery vehicle to suit their ever-growing company.
The Challenge As part of Terry’s growth plans, he has invested in a newly converted Vauxhall Combo to add to his delivery fleet. He offers a delivery service 6 days a week, so the Combo is required to help maximise his deliveries to full potential. His new modern black Combo is exactly right for the job.
Terry had particular specifications to ensure his produce always arrives in perfect condition, to every customer. It is vital that everything is kept at the correct temperature whilst in transit to every customer in the local area.
The Solution We needed to ensure the loading space was easy to keep clean for hygiene reasons and to prevent cross contamination. The floor has a smooth finish to enable it to be washed correctly. We installed the correct drainage hole to help remove the wastewater.
We fitted aluminium angles for added protection to the edges of the side and rear doors, for when Terry’s team are loading the vehicle. This finished the completed look and added extra strength.
The vehicle was fitted with a GAH LC200 refrigeration unit that will keep Terry’s meat and produce chilled as low as zero degrees.
At Rex we offer a unique colour code service to match the GAH refrigeration unit which Terry specified, and we were able to colour match the top cover to the vehicle.
Their Vauxhall Combo can be spotted locally and really catches everyone’s eye with its shiny jet-black colour. Hopefully it will ensure Terry and his team can keep up with the increased orders and deliveries.
